The responsiveness of the remotes is taking a bit of getting use to. Hopefully, we'll sort this out with experience

We're so glad to hear you're happy with your buggies! It's great that you're getting the hang of the remotes. Practice makes perfect.
Here are a couple of tips to help:
Forward and Reverse Controls :
Each time you press the Forward or Reverse button, the speed increases one step, from 1 through to 9.
Once a speed has been selected, the buggy will continue travelling at that speed even after you release the button.
Turning Left and Right
The steering buttons work differently.
The longer you hold the Left or Right button, the sharper and faster the buggy will turn in that direction.
When you release the steering button, the buggy will continue travelling at the speed already set by the Forward or Reverse button.
Steering Tips
If you hold a steering button down for too long, the buggy can turn all the way around in a complete spin.
To make smaller steering adjustments, try briefly tapping the Left or Right button rather than holding it down.
Each tap will slightly change the buggy's direction, and once you release the button, it will continue travelling at the speed you've already selected.
With a little practice, you'll soon find the steering becomes very intuitive.

As the buggy freewheels, it can gain significant momentum going down hills when under manual control. On a hilly course this can take a toll on an old back or knees.
Also, cannot be parked on a hill without it rolling away.
Exploration of some sort of inertia brake or even a hand brake would be beneficial
Hi Malcolm, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, it’s genuinely appreciated. You’ve raised an important point about freewheeling on hilly courses, and we understand how that can affect comfort, especially for backs and knees.
We actually offer a version of your cart with downhill braking built in. It’s called the Q1‑7, which is the upgraded model of the Q1‑6E you currently own. The braking system gives you controlled descent on slopes and allows the cart to be parked on an incline without rolling away, while still preserving the freewheeling capability our customers value when they need to push manually or forget their battery.
If you feel the braking option would suit your course better, we’re happy to help you upgrade. The cost is simply the difference between the Q1‑7 and the Q1‑6E, plus courier charges.
We’ll give you a call to discuss it further and make sure you have the setup that works best for your game.
The latest version of Q1-7 has a motor cutoff when the brake is applied , so customers dont have to remember to turn down power to the motor when the brake is applied.

🌸QOD Q2 - Remote Control Golf Buggy – Certified LiFePO₄ Power, Modular & Upgradeable (2026 Edition) Have had two games with the QOD and found it much more relaxing walking without the need to push/pull a cart. It took about 3-4 holes to get used to the remote but once mastered it works very well - especially the press button 10/20sec button which allows the buggy to be moved without monitoring (for the short time) away from the front of a green. The remote picks up from at least 50- metres and allowed me to go past my ball - walk back towards the tee to find it and bring the clubs to me without wasting energy and embarrassment :) Have played on a flat course and a hilly course with good expereinces. Looking forward to my next game on an undulating style course.
